Breaking Ground: The Padel Barn is on its way

This week, we watched the diggers move in next door. The Padel Barn – a brand new four-court indoor padel facility – is officially under construction. And we couldn't be more excited to have it as our neighbours.

From drawings to diggers. The Padel Barn is being built right next to Winchester Golf Academy, and it's going to be brilliant. Four indoor courts mean year-round play, whatever the weather. The whole facility is designed from the ground up for padel – think temperature control, LED lighting, and a real sense of community.

Padel is booming right now, and Winchester is the perfect place for it. If you've played at other clubs, you know how good the experience can be when it's done properly. That's what The Padel Barn is building.

A new sport on your doorstep

If you've never played padel, think of it as tennis's more social cousin. It's fast, fun, and genuinely easier to pick up than tennis. You don't need to be fit or young – we've seen players from 8 to 80 having a brilliant time on court.

The best bit? You'll be playing just next door to the academy. Which means you could hit balls on our Toptracer bays in the morning and get a padel game in the afternoon. Hampshire's about to have something special.
